He Hikoi Manaaki Kaiawhina will provide flexible wellbeing support, education, information, and advocacy for tangata whaiora and their whānau. Hē Hīkoi Manaaki focuses on prevention and intervention and is underpinned by Te Whare Tapa Whā infused by Poutini Ngāi Tahutanga tikanga and kawa and connecting whānau with their tipuna, whenua, taiao and awa. Through Hē Hīkoi Manaaki, whānau will experience a seamless holistic service that provides individuals and their whānau with support, treatment, rehabilitation and/or recovery as appropriate.

Service Objective:

The Service is provided to whānau at the place they prefer and will be flexible in its hours to allow contact with family and whānau who work during the day. It is not a 24-hour service. The Service will enhance the ability of whanau to support a person who has, or may be developing, a major mental illness or addiction

 You would need:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (excel, word, power point, teams, outlook, files).

  • Experience using Adobe.

  • Clearance under the provisions of the Vulnerable Children’s Act (2014)

  • Commitment to working effectively with Māori, Pacific, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable:
  • Fluency in Te Reo Māori

  • Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
